Differences Between Proxy Types

IPOcto currently offers static residential proxies, dynamic residential IP proxies, and data centre IPv4/IPv6 proxies.

IPv6 proxies are cost-effective, though not all websites support access.

Common compatible platforms: Google, Facebook, YouTube, Vinted, LinkedIn, etc.

Static Residential Proxies: Authentic residential IP addresses sourced from global internet service providers (ISPs). Each IP is exclusively dedicated to the user, offering long-term stability and reliability. Ideal for business scenarios requiring a fixed identity and consistent network environment.

Dynamic residential proxies: Their IP address pool comprises private IPs from genuine residential users worldwide. IPs automatically rotate at preset intervals, effectively circumventing bans.

Data centre proxies (IPv4/IPv6): Their IP resources originate from cloud data centres globally. IPs are stable and dedicated, offering excellent connection speeds and cost-effectiveness.

Proxy Region Selection

Available countries/regions vary by proxy type. Specific details can be viewed on the package purchase page:

Proxy Protocol Support

Static Proxy: Supports both SOCKS5 and HTTP protocols. Randomly assigned, with manual protocol switching available via the proxy list.

Dynamic proxy: Supports dual protocols SOCKS5 and HTTP/HTTPS. SOCKS5 port number is 1000, HTTP is 1001, and HTTPS is 1002.

Platform Compatibility Testing

Certain platforms employ specialised risk control mechanisms. We offer a 100MB free trial package for dynamic residential proxies. Claim a trial IP for testing before purchase.
